My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️
💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟

Meet Bogeul💘

* With People: Bogeul likes people and wags her tail when she sees them, but she is very timid at first so you must approach slowly. She tends to hide from strangers but quickly warms up when given food. Once comfortable, she eagerly wags her tail, seeks affection, and enjoys being petted.
* With Dogs:She has good social skills and gets along well with other dogs at the shelter. However, she may feel overwhelmed by overly energetic dogs and needs some time to adjust.
* Separation Anxiety: Bogeul is comfortable being alone and has been left for 3–4 hours without issues. She hasn’t shown signs of severe separation anxiety so far.
* Potty Training: She is fully pad-trained and consistently uses the potty pad with a 100% success rate.
* Walking and Outdoor Behavior: Loves going on walks! She walks well on familiar routes but doesn’t want to move when taken to new places. She resists walking in unfamiliar areas but will follow her guardian with encouragement. She is afraid of roads and needs gradual exposure to overcome her fear.
* Grooming and Hygiene: Due to her timid nature, she finds bathing and brushing scary and needs slow, patient training to get used to them. She is calm when held for drying and cooperative during nail trimming.
*Car Sickness: She experiences mild car sickness but handles 1-hour trips well. Taking breaks during long journeys helps her manage motion sickness.

💌Special Notes💌
* As a young pup, Bogeul may still display separation anxiety, chewing, mouthing, whining, and playful mischief, all of which require patient training.
* Her shedding level and adult size are unpredictable due to the lack of information about her parents.
* She has already mastered “sit” and “wait”! She responds well when called (great recall training!).
* She has a timid personality. She reacts sensitively to unfamiliar sounds and has afraid of the rustling sound of plastic.

Go meet their pets

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US and Canada when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."
But once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos. The adopter can post any questions and can make video call as well.
Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue

ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.

We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.

Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.

In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.

Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
