My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Dior was brought in by Humane Law Enforcement on November 19, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Dior, a handsome and spirited boy looking for his new home! Dior can sometimes get overstimulated, so he's looking for a patient and understanding adopter who can respect his boundaries and read his body language. He enjoys attention, but only in small doses, making him a better fit for a home without young children. Dior thrives with plenty of enrichment and toys in the home to keep him busy. Dior has outdoor experience and would love a safe, secure outdoor area where he can explore and stretch his legs. He's a big fan of treats and playtime, so he's hoping to find someone who will spend lots of quality time keeping him entertained. If you're ready to meet this unique and energetic companion, Dior can't wait to meet you!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
