Angie is an absolute lady and she is seeking her “partner-in-chill.” This amazing girl stole all our hearts with her gentle demeanor and heart-warming smile. We hope she reaches yours too! Get to know her straight away by watching her Get-To-Know Angie video here-> https://youtu.be/IB0bCbrH-j4
In rescue, age and breed are details we can never know with 100% confidence, but we believe Angie is a Lab/Pittie mix, approximately 4-5 years old, and weighing 40 lbs. Her expressive face gives off a mature, wise look that contrasts with her playful spirit and energy level. Angie is a dog who only sees the goodness in the world and reflects it back in her interactions. Everyone who meets her says things like, "She made my day!" or “She makes me smile!" Angie's special nature shines brightly, and we can’t wait to see how much more she will glow when she finds her forever family.
Angie’s easygoing nature is evident in all her interactions. She’s friendly with other dogs and feels most confident when she has canine companions around. While she enjoys their company, Angie does best with low-to-medium energy dogs who respect the importance of relaxation and long naps. She’s also good with cats! Angie has shown she can live harmoniously with feline friends, having done well during her cat tests and while living with a cat in her foster home.
Angie is a gentle soul who is friendly but not the type to make the first move. If you have a bit of introvert in you, this is your girl. She will never force you into having small talk with a stranger simply because your dog pulled you their way. With her calm, easy-going leash manners, you will be able to put your favorite podcast on and take a walk in peace, you and her good company.
Angie’s calm and low-energy nature makes her a versatile fit for either a house with a yard or an apartment. Preferably not a 4 story walk-up, stairs should be optional in her opinion. She would do well with a calm home life, with a family who understands her calm nature and isn’t looking for a running partner or all-day playmate for a young pup.
Angie is the kind of dog who reminds you to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures in life. With her sweet nature, soulful eyes, and contagious smile, she’ll bring calm, warmth, and joy to her new family. Whether napping on a cozy bed, strolling through the neighborhood, or lounging with her canine or feline companions, Angie is ready to fill your home with quiet love and companionship.
The best days of Angie’s life are still ahead of her, and she can’t wait to share them with her forever family. Apply to adopt Angie today, and let the love begin! If you have any questions or want to explore how Angie might fit into your life, we’re happy to help!

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.
While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
