Brooklyn is a sweet and playful 1-year-old black and white pit bull mix who is looking for her forever home! This lovely girl weighs around 40 pounds and was found as a stray, but she’s quickly shown how loving and joyful she is. Brooklyn has the perfect balance of energy – she loves to play but also enjoys relaxing with her humans. She’s already learned a couple of basic commands, including “sit” and “shake,” and would love to continue her training with you! Brooklyn is a people-focused dog and would thrive in a home with children aged 8 and up. She is very sweet and affectionate, but we do recommend supervision with cats, as she is still getting used to them. Brooklyn does well with low-energy dogs and would probably do best as the only dog in the household. She’s not a fan of dogs jumping on her, so she would be happiest with calm and respectful canine companions. If you`re looking for a loving, playful, and well-mannered companion, Brooklyn might just be the perfect fit for you. Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

Approve Application
Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

Sign Adoption Contract
If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

Pay Fee
Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.
