Kimi is a stunning 10 month old lab mix! She was found living under a house with her two siblings, Robert and Khloe, who have both since been adopted. She is the last one in her litter left to find a forever home and hopes that her time for adoption is coming soon!
Kimi is kid-friendly, loves other dogs, and is cat tolerant. Her foster mom reports that she doesn’t love the cats but she doesn’t chase them or react to them at all. They simply are able to coexist in the same space together and live in She is very playful with her canine foster siblings and would enjoy the company of another dog in her forever home if possible. She loves to be with her pack! As the youngest pup in her foster home, she's the queen of the house.
Kimi is more of a homebody, as she would rather be on the couch or at home binging Netflix on a rainy day. Due to her history prior to coming to Happy Tails Canine Rescue, Kimi is not the biggest fan of walks because she is still a little nervous of strangers, but she is learning to trust more every day. Being patient and loving to her is important and a big way to win her trust.
She likes to sleep under the big bed in her foster parent's room. She cleared out a spot under there with her canine foster sister and goes to bed when her parents go to sleep. What a good girl!
Kimi is 40lbs and a very gentle lady. She takes her treats with manners, She likes to be outside and is very relaxed in the yard, enjoying the time sunbathing and feeling the wind on her face.
If you want a well- mannered, lower drive, cuddle bug, then Kimi is your girl!

A home check may be performed when taking the pet home. This is up to the discretion of the rescue founder and may be performed upon her decision. This step will ensure our animals are going into the best possible homes and will never be treated as less than a best friend and companion ever again. We are dedicated to the best possible fit for each animal that comes into our care.

We are 100% foster and volunteer run. Therefore, the first step in meeting one of our adoptable pets will be to submit an adoption application by following the link posted above to either our website or directly to our adoption application. Once an adoption application has been approved, we can set up a meet and greet with the applicant and the animal the applicant is interested in. Please allow 24-72 business hours to receive an answer back about your application, as all of our volunteers and fosters have additional jobs outside of the rescue and use their spare time to provide care to these animals in our program.
Adoption events can also be found posted on our Facebook and Instagram pages located under the name "Happy Tails Canine Rescue". These events are open to the public and do not require an adoption application in advance to meet any of our pets that will be attending.
