Hello! I’m Adora, a 9-month-old kitten with a sleek coat, four white paws, and an inquisitive spirit. My mother was a tabby and my dad, a Bengal, so I’ve inherited some pretty cool markings and a curious nature. I’m a little shy with strangers, but once I get to know you, I’ll be your best friend forever! I’m the type of cat who loves to be near my humans and will happily hang out in your lap while you relax or watch TV. In fact, I love animal shows and sports—anything with lots of action and movement!
While I’m friendly, I do have a bit of a bossy streak when it comes to other cats, but I’m a sweetheart at heart. I’ve been known to steal small things (pens, clips, you name it), and I take them to my secret stash to play with. I’m also a bit of a climber and love finding high places to perch. But don’t let my adventurous spirit fool you—I also enjoy crawling under things to feel cozy and secure.
I'm a bit shy with new people, loud noises, and mirrors, so I might take a little time to warm up. But once I trust you, I’ll be your cuddly, curious companion. I don’t love being picked up just yet, but I’m working on it. My favorite thing is having my head rubbed (I’m practically purring nonstop when that happens), and I love to be stroked from the tip of my nose to the end of my long, silky tail.
I’m playful too—string toys, springs, and balls are some of my favorites. I might be a little cautious, but I’m always up for an adventure. If you have a home with adults or older kids (or patient younger ones), I’d be the perfect addition to your family!
Adora is from an owner surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.

If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
