This handsome 8 year old black cat is Spot, and he’s ready to make a fresh start! Spot was sadly left behind by his previous humans, but he hasn’t let that get him down. With his sweet nature and loving heart, Spot is now searching for his second chance at a family who will cherish him forever.
Spot may be FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but that doesn’t stop him from being an amazing companion. FIV is not contagious to humans or other animals, and with a little extra care, Spot can live a long, happy life. He’s a calm, affectionate guy who loves people and would be happiest in a quiet home where he can relax and enjoy his days being pampered.
Spot has so much love to give, and he’s hoping to find a family who will appreciate his gentle spirit and give him the chance he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who just wants to be loved, Spot is waiting for you to bring him home.
Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.**
Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive cats can live normal lives both in quality and duration. They do take special care in terms of monitoring them for signs of infection. FIV can be passed from cat to cat via deep bite wounds, but not from casual contact so positive cats can live with negative cats without the fear of spreading FIV as long as they get along and are spayed/neutered.
