My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tawny, a sweet and spirited 2-year-old beagle who’s ready to fill your life with love and laughter. Weighing in at a perfect 33 pounds, Tawny is the perfect size for cuddles and adventures alike. This girl recently made her way from Kentucky to New Jersey and is hoping to find a forever family that will appreciate her playful nature and loving heart.

Tawny is the kind of dog who makes friends wherever she goes. She is her best self when she has a doggie companion.  She’s great with kids and other dogs, and her friendly, easygoing demeanor makes her a wonderful companion for any household. While we’re not sure how she feels about cats yet, her positive attitude towards other animals makes us think she’d adapt well to any situation with a little patience.

Whether she’s chasing after a ball, exploring the outdoors, or just curling up for a nap, Tawny is always ready to enjoy life to the fullest. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate beagle to brighten your days and you have another dog, Tawny just might be the perfect match for you. Apply for adoption at https://peace4paws.org/adoption-application and give Tawny the forever home she deserves. She can’t wait to share her love with you.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
