My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Plum! I was rescued from SEAACA, an animal shelter in Downey with my brother Latte. I’m can be shy when entering new environments and I just need some extra time to familiarize myself and get comfortable in my surroundings. But I will be super loving once I’m familiar with you! I was fostered with adult cats, and even though I can be shy, I’m not afraid of confronting big cats alone, I’m a real warrior! Sometimes I’ll be nervous when my brother is not around, and will try to call out to him. My brother Latte and I are a very bonded pair and would love to be adopted together in our forever home!

Please note young kittens are adopted out in pairs or to a home with another playful cat or kitten.

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
