Hello, I`m Nelly. I`m a gentle soul, a little shy, and it takes me a while to adjust to new surroundings. I prefer to find a quiet corner to curl up in. Give me something soft and snuggly to settle in to and watch me make biscuits and snooze. I`m sweet and mellow, not one for sudden movements or loud noises. I`ve been told I have a calming presence, a soothing purr that can help ease the stress of a long day. I might take some time to come out of my shell, but I promise you, I`m worth the wait. I may do well with other cats in my new home with a slow introduction. Adopting me won`t just change my life, it will bring a new, quiet companion into yours.

Their adoption process

Interview

Call and tell us what animal you're interested in and we discuss all aspects of the pet. If it's not a match, we can help you find one

2.
Submit Application

We will set up an appointment time for you to meet the pet and collect a Companion Request Form from you.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

At your appointment we will give you an opportunity to meet the pet and make a final decision. If all goes well, you will take the pet home.

The mission of the Placer Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Placer SPCA) is to enhance the lives of companion animals and support the human-animal bond.

We offer programs for the pets and people of Placer County, including adoptions, lost and found, low-cost spay and neuter assistance, humane education programs, emergency financial assistance for pet owners, free behavior advice, and low-cost microchips and rabies vaccines.
