My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPTION BY ADVANCE APPLICATION ONLY
ADOPTION FEE $220

Cooper is pretty close to the perfect dog! He is a fascinating blend of Newfoundland and Standard Poodle. Would that be a Newfiepoo? Or a Pooland? Also, Cooper is housebroken, crate trained, good with children, men, women, other dogs and cats. He is a fantastic dog for anyone looking for big love, as he is 101 pounds currently. So why is this fantastic dog here at the Humane Society? Cooper`s family was simply unable to keep up with his needs. They were sad to give him up, but wanted only the best for him. Cooper would be a great family dog but will need an adopter who understands the financial requirement to control his allergies, as well as the cost of food, grooming, vet visits, etc. He has chronic skin/ear infections. Cooper is being fed a special diet of Purina Pro Plan prescription hydrolyzed dry food. A 25 pound bag is $129. He is also getting monthly cytopoint injections for his allergies. Adopting Cooper into your family is not for the faint of heart. Of course, what you get in exchange is a gorgeous, playful, loyal dog who will love you till the day he dies. Sounds fair to me. If you have the lifestyle to accommodate Cooper, please email staci@hsscg.org for an application and/or more information. Cooper is neutered, microchipped, current on core vaccines and has tested negative for heartworms.
