My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cora!
Cora is an almost one-year-old, cinnamon brown beauty with a heart full of potential. This medium-sized girl came to Wisconsin in November and, since then, has been blossoming in her foster home, learning to trust people and truly become the playful puppy she’s meant to be.
Cora enjoys playful moments with the two dogs in her foster home and loves finding toys to entertain herself when they’re not around. Her favorites are squeaky toys and chewing on antlers, which keep her entertained for hours. She also enjoys running and playing outside in the fenced yard.
Cora is kennel trained, potty trained, and does well on a leash. She’s a food lover, and her favorite treat is cut-up hot dogs (yum!). Although Cora is a little shy when it comes to meeting new people or being in unfamiliar situations, she is making great strides and, with time and patience, will be a loyal and loving companion. If you ever met someone who is shyer and take time to really know them, they will in time show you their sweet and goofy side. This is Cora at her foster home she is completely different vs going out into the scary public, just like some people who do not like crowds :)
She absolutely adores other dogs and she would need another friendly doggy friend in the home to help her acclimate. She has learned to interact and play with the teenager in her foster home, discovering what it means to be loved. If you have the patience and time to help Cora continue her journey of growth, she’ll be the devoted friend you’ve been looking for.
If you think Cora would be a good fit for your home, apply at Sandi Paws Rescue today. Her adoption fee has been lowered to $250 in hopes of finding her own forever family to eventually show her goofy side to.

A successful adoption depends on the selection of the right pet for your household and your understanding of your responsibility of adopting a rescued animal. Our adoption procedures have been designed to make sure all rescued Sandi Paws pets are placed in an appropriate, loving forever home, and to make sure all adopters find the right fit for their family. Prior to adoption, all dogs and cats will be given all age-appropriate vaccinations, including rabies, kennel cough, parvo and distemper, spaying/neutering, intestinal deworming, heartworm testing/treatment, microchipping, and monthly heartworm medication and flea prevention.

Note: We will adopt pets outside of Wisconsin if we can do necessary background and reference checks and the adopters agree to provide necessary follow up information. Also, the adopting family must agree to travel to pick up the pet and agree to transport them back to Wisconsin if they need to be returned at any time.
