Meet Asher, a lovable 6-year-old with a heart as big as his love for life! This brave and energetic boy was once found alone in an abandoned home, but he’s not letting his past hold him back. Asher’s comfort comes from his trusty stuffed animals, which he always keeps close—whether it’s in moments of calm or excitement, you’ll rarely see him without one in his mouth. He’s always ready for a fun run in the play yard or a leisurely walk, and he loves exploring the world by your side.
Asher is an excellent leash walker and is eager to be with you wherever you go. He’s currently thriving on a hydrolyzed diet for his skin and will need a vet to help continue his care. Though we don’t know his full history, Asher is open to meeting other dogs and cats with proper introductions. He has been introduced positively with children at the shelter, though as with any new animal, we recommend monitoring those interactions to ensure each party is comfortable.
Asher is a self-proclaimed lap dog and is making great progress becoming more comfortable in enclosed spaces and bonding with people.
