My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blackbird is a happy guy who loves to play ball. He would need to meet any other dogs, but he enjoys kids and did we mention playing ball. When he runs his ears flop, its the cutest thing. This boy was in a home and liked one dog but not the other, he also has some resources guarding issues. We think he would do best as an only dog untill a good trust and bond can be had. He does best with men.**Please fill out an application found on our website under "adopt a pet" and send it in to start adoption process.**

More about this shelter

Van Wert is a small rural community. The Van Wert County Humane Society has seen hard times in the past but since the Humane Society is under a new board, things have changed for the better and we work hard to care for and adopt the animals at the shelter. We have a small base of volunteers that will come and spend time with the animals at the shelter. We take donations of any sort, and the Humane Society is 501c3.
