My name is Ferris!

Ferris tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.

A volunteer writes: Ferris is learning, so he's asking for a bit of patience if he asks one hundred questions and occasionally requests that we repeat ourselves. Sometimes becoming the butterfly we're meant to be takes a little extra time and some cats, like Ferris, want to make sure they get everything right. Ferris came right to the front of his condo when I opened the door but it wasn't exactly me he wanted to see at first. He's friendly and sociable but didn't know that we maybe say hello before we ask what every single one of our neighbors are doing and why. After a few moments of being nosy and also feeling very open to suggestions, Ferris turned to me and asked what he was supposed to do with a visitor. Sniffs, maybe? I gently encouraged him and he lowered his head so that he could tuck it into my hand. Ferris is a sweet guy who is hoping to find someone who will take their time and learn and love along with him.
