My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Sandy is around 9 months old as of December, 2024 and weighs 9 pounds. She is sweet, loving and has a great temperament with all people and children. She gets along great with other dogs and has been around children 5 and 9 years old with no issues. She is still working on crate and house training which will need to be continued in her new home. She is almost there and does well in her crate overnight. She loves cuddles and just to be in your lap. She should do well with most any family. Sandy is spayed, current on shots, flea and heartworm prevention. If you are interested in visiting or adopting, please submit our application at RichardsonRescue.org. We are a private run facility supported by public donations. The first step to adopt is to submit an application on richardsonrescue.org. We review them everyday, except for Sunday (Great customer service is our goal). Once your application is approved, you may then call for an appointment.

VISITS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY WITH AN APPROVED APPLICATION.

More about this rescue

Nestled in twelve acres of country and woods is a place for animals that are hardest to help, BIGGER dogs, abused pets and puppy mill dogs. They need more time, more space and more love than many full rescues can provide. Their adoptions sometimes take months, but they get the room and attention that they need to get back on all four feet. The problem.... not many people are willing to give them a chance. We also offer low cost spay and neutering when funding allows.
