Ozark is a smart, loveable, snuggly, and curious dog who just wants to be your best friend. He is a 5 and a half year-old, 42-pound American Staffordshire Terrier mix. He is really cool looking with awesome coloring. Ozark has the most beautiful brindle coat and white belly. He just wants to snuggle and will sit on your lap all day if you let him. He has a huge heart, and will be the best companion for anyone. Ozark is up to date on his vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. I rescued Ozark from a shelter 4 and a half years ago. Now my wife and I got married and moved in together, and come to find out she has allergies to all dogs. It has become a burden on her and we have to find Ozark a good loving home. It breaks my heart, because he is such a wonderful dog.
Ozark is playful, loving, and a loyal companion. He loves to chew on bones, play tug-o-war and go on walks. He loves treats and is great at following simple commands, especially if you have treats in your hand. Ozark had professional training, so he knows sit, stay, down and basic commands. Ozark is comfortable around other dogs and cats, but it needs to be a gradual intro. He has lived with us a long time and we had other dogs and cats before, so he's really friendly with them once he gets to know them after the first or second introduction. He just wants to play with them at first meeting, but sometimes he doesn't know boundaries when he first meets them which can annoy the other animals. With that being said, he's super friendly, just a little dominant at first. He would be best in a home without other pets or children if possible, but once again we have had other dogs, cats and children in our home and Ozark is great with them.
Ozark is a medium sized dog who has enjoyed having access to a large backyard and regular walks, but he is an inside dog and would not want to be left in the back yard for extended periods of time. He is used to being in the house and is comfortable spending long periods of time at home alone, so he will need to be an indoor dog. Ozark's favorite thing to do is spend quality time with humans, and he enjoys it when we have family and friends over because he loves to socialize with people. He's a lap dog, and he loves to snuggle at night if you let him on your bed. Ozark is housebroken and he does not destroy things. We love him so much and hope we are able to find him a home with people who love him as much as we do. It breaks our heart to have to re-home Ozark, he literally is like a furry son and deserves the best life ever!
