My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Viva has had a rough journey, but this sweet girl’s resilience and gentle spirit shine through. Dumped by her former owner, Viva had to fight hard to survive on the streets and protect her puppies. When rescuers found her, only two of her pups had made it, still nursing at six months old as it was their only way to survive. Now, at just 18 months herself, Viva is safe and ready to find a loving home where she can finally relax and be cared for.

Despite all she's been through, Viva is incredibly sweet-natured and gentle. She has a calm, low-key personality that makes her a perfect match for families, whether they have other dogs or even cats. This special mama has so much love to give and is looking for a family who can show her the safety and affection she's been missing. Viva is ready to start the best chapter of her life—will you be the one to give it to her?

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

Once your application is approved you will be contacted by the rescue and discuss the dog you are interested in and transportation.

Pay Fee

Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, health certificate and transportation.

All information regarding our dogs and transportation will be discussed prior to adoption.

Dogs over 6 months: $300

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
