My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Urgent: Help Nora and Zola Find a Loving Home Together**

I’m heartbroken and furious. How can people be so cruel? Nora and Zola, two senior cats around 10 years old, were dumped out in the middle of nowhere, left to fend for themselves despite having no idea how to find food. They are severely underweight, barely 6 lbs each, and have only a few teeth left, which will require a costly dental procedure.

Nora also had a growth on her left ear, which, thankfully, was removed yesterday—likely just a polyp, but it adds to their challenges. A huge thank-you to the incredible team at Bottletree Animal Hospital for identifying their medical issues so they can get the care they desperately need.

These sweet girls have been through so much, including being unspayed and enduring heat cycles over and over for years. They deserve a second chance at life—together. They are bonded and rely on each other for comfort and security.

We at 9 Lives Cat Rescue are committed to covering their medical bills, but we need your help. Can you open your heart and home to foster or adopt Nora and Zola together? If you’re unable to take them in, please consider donating to help cover their medical expenses and give them the fresh start they deserve.

Let’s show them what kindness feels like. ❤️

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our 9LCR cats are not routinely tested for FIV and FeLV for various reasons, one being to keep the costs and hence the adoption fee affordable. This decision is based on studies that have found that only about 4% of cats are actually infected. The funds for testing are better utilized for our spay and neuter efforts of owned and community cats in order to save the most cats. However, testing can be performed upon request and need to be covered by the person interested in adopting.
9 Lives Cats have been spayed or neutered and have updated vaccinations. 9 Lives is run entirely on volunteers. Please give us 2-7 days to process your application. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us! Please fill out our application form found here: t.ly/38VV
Adoption fee is $70.00.

More about this rescue

We started 9 Lives Cat Rescue to find homes for cats that are homeless or need to be relocated.
We are a no-kill, non-profit group. Our cats live in foster homes until they are adopted. We spay & neuter every cat before they are adopted.
We fully support our local no-kill feral cat group who practices TNR (Trap, Neuter & Return).
