My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet-faced bunny is named after a well-known movie assassin (Beatrix Kiddo in the Kill Bill movies) - why?? you may ask. She was named by her rescuers, who apparently found her outside, fighting off raccoons! Beatrix was very lucky that these kind people came along to bring her to safety and is now enjoying life in her foster home. She is sweet and outgoing and enjoys exploring, playing with toys and getting petted. Her favorite food is parsley (given sparingly), and Oxbow apple treats are a close second. Beatrix is not afraid of much, she is friendly with the resident dogs, as well as with people, and she enjoys greeting the other foster bunnies in the home. This engaging and intrepid rabbit is looking for a loving family to call her own.

We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step to our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/30180/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don’t see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!

Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $90, a pair is $150, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.

Additional adoption info

For those that want to bond a new rabbit with an existing rabbit, we conduct bonding events where the home rabbit can meet several rabbits to find a potential match. We work with the adopting family to help ensure that the rabbits bond. We take back the adoptive rabbit if there is not a match.

Our adoption agreement specifies that we will take any adopted rabbit back, should the home situation change in the future.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster-based rescue where our available animals are kept in private homes.

You can see our rabbits online, then make an appointment to meet the rabbit(s) you select.

From time-to-time, we conduct adoption events where you can meet multiple rabbits. Because of RHDV2, these events have been paused.

More about this rescue

We are a rescue and educational group dedicated to the health, care and enjoyment of house rabbits. We believe that pet rabbits are family members and should be housed indoors, should be fed a healthy diet, should be spayed or neutered, and should receive quality medical care. Our organization strives to provide bunny parents with information to help them care for their rabbit.
