My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What's up! I'm Moon Watcher, I'm the goofiest of furballs you have probably ever laid eyes on. With me around, every day is a new adventure for me to pounce ahead. My eyes are so big that they probably should be considered the moon, they sparkle with curiosity too just like the starry sky. I have five siblings, and you may ask how does one keep up? Ha! Are you kidding? They have to keep up with me! I'm not all play and jumps, after running around I like to curl up in a ball and snuggle. I know my fur-ever home is just out there waiting for me, maybe it's you?

I'm ready to go to my forever home now, you'll just have to take me to my spay appt which is included in my adoption fee.

On 12/19/24, I'm getting my vaccines of, FVRCP and Rabies. I'm also getting spayed at Spay n Save on 12/19/24 as well.

If you are interested in meeting me, please complete an adoption application. Upon pre-approval, someone will reach out to set up a time for you to come meet us!

Since kittens do the best with having playmates and someone to cuddle with when our people aren't around, I will have to go to a home with other cats or kittens or even a dog (who likes cats of course).

Or you could adopt a second kitten from Second Chance, at a reduced adoption fee. I'd be quite lonely without a playmate since I spent my life so far with my siblings.

More about this rescue

Alison and Nick Yocca started rescuing animals over 8 years ago, starting with their first rescue, Chance; an American bulldog who at the time, was a puppy. As Chance got older, Ali and Nick discovered that the life she had before finding Ali and Nick, must have been rough as she had fear aggression. Realizing that Chance may never be able to find a home and most likely would be put down, they decided to keep her themselves, work with her, and give her a home without fear.

Chance, now 9 years old, lives on a 2-acre property with her mom and dad, and many other rescue siblings. Ali and Nick knew that there must be other animals out there just like chance, who deserve a “chance” at a second life. The sanctuary was born and is now a place where animals that are hard to place can live out their lives in a happy home.

This year, along came Rosy, a look-alike to Chance and the inspiration of the name “Second Chance Animal Rescue and Sanctuary", who again came to Ali and Nick as a puppy, where they realized that she was untrained and probably kept in a cage her whole life, breeding. She now lives out her life at the Second Chance Rescue and Sanctuary where she enjoys her days playing with the other rescues, including both dogs, cats, birds, and rabbits.

Ali and Nick have several rescues of their own, and continue to answer the calls of unwanted, unknown, and left animals in the Central Florida Area. Their team continues to find, care, and place these animals.
