My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tripp is being fostered in Marion WI

Introducing Tripp!  This gorgeous hunk is a black tri male standard Australian Shepherd.  His date of birth is May 6, 2024.  This boy! This boy!  He has a great personality!  His foster mom reports that he is silly, goofy and funny.  He has settled in very well to their routine and is learning at rapid rates.  He is potty trained and crate trained. He is learning to walk on leash and picking things up at lightening speeds.  At this age, he is 38lbs and will be approximately 50-60lbs full grown.

Tripp and his littermates came in from an AKC registered breeder from Indiana when he couldn't sell them and it was time for them to be altered.  Because of this, they are a little behind on their socialization with the world around them, but they have WONDERFUL temperaments. Tripp is being fostered with other dogs, including a pretty bossy female, and a cat.  He does well with everyone!  He was a perfect gentleman at the vet's office for his vaccinations too!

Tripp is a young Australian Shepherd and will need a MINIMUM of 2 hours of mental and physical stimulation a day to be a happy boy.  His new family will need to continue his socialization with the world and take him everywhere they can to expose him to various stimuli.

Tripp is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm.

Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.  For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org.

NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org

Additional adoption info

Meeting any dog within MASR requires an approved adoption application on file. We process as quickly as possible via volunteers. Then connect an applicant one at a time with a dog and foster home to arrange a meet and greet. If all parties at the meet and greet, including the dog, are in agreement that it is a good fit, the dog goes home that day.
