My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gus and Abigail, an adorable duo of 4-year-old Chiweenies who are the perfect package of love and companionship. Gus weighs 11 pounds, and his sister Abigail weighs 12 pounds. These two are inseparable and looking for a forever home that will embrace them both.

Gus and Abby are house and crate trained, though they much prefer the luxury of sleeping with their foster parents. They are friendly but can be a little shy around new people. Once they warm up, they’re incredibly sweet and loyal. Their favorite place is on their person’s lap or snuggled under a cozy blanket. They get along well with other dogs and thrive on companionship.

This bonded pair may do best in a calmer, quieter home where they can feel safe and secure. While they haven’t been around children in their current foster home, they might do well with older, respectful kids who understand their need for patience and space as they adjust.

Their foster mom shares, “Gus and Abby are absolute snuggle bugs! They love sitting in laps, playing outside, and, of course, treats. While they might be a little nervous when strangers visit, they warm up quickly and are very sweet. They truly adore their people and just want to be near them.”

If you’re ready to welcome double the love and affection into your life, Gus and Abigail would be a perfect fit. Their minimum adoption fee is $400 plus a $15 fee per dog for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
