My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Goga, the Jet-Setting Survivor!

Goga has had quite the journey to find his way to us. He was found as a stray in Northern California and faced euthanasia at the shelter. Thankfully, a compassionate team of people saw his scared shelter photo and rallied to save him. Among his rescuers were a father and son duo who volunteered their private plane to fly Goga to safety. Yes, this little guy arrived at our rescue in style on a private flight!

Goga is a special needs pup with a spinal disc issue that limits the mobility of his hind legs. While he can take a few steps, he mostly scoots around by dragging his legs behind him. Additionally, he cannot go potty on his own and requires his bladder and bowels to be expressed several times a day to stay healthy. While this may sound daunting, it’s surprisingly simple once you get the hang of it, and our dedicated staff is happy to teach you how.

Despite these challenges, Goga is a happy, spunky, and thriving little boy. He adores attention, whether it’s from humans or other dogs, and absolutely shines in the spotlight. Goga is one of the happiest dogs we’ve ever met, and his love for life is contagious! He enjoys playing, cuddling, and even napping on top of his doggy friends. He’s also learning to use a wheelchair but is just as content scooting around on his own.

Goga’s ideal home will include someone experienced with special needs pets or willing to learn. We promise this little charmer will steal your heart in no time. If you’re ready to give Goga the loving home he deserves, please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
