Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Eleanor’s story is one of heartbreak and resilience. At 13.5 years old, blind, and deaf, she was found wandering as a stray. Tragically, even though she was microchipped, her previous owners didn’t want her back.
When Eleanor came to us, she was in terrible shape—emaciated, covered in skin infections, and missing patches of fur. She was scared and fragile, showing clear signs of long-term neglect. But despite everything she’s been through, Eleanor is a survivor, and her happiest days are yet to come.
Eleanor may be a super-senior, but she still enjoys life’s simple pleasures. She loves spending time outdoors, whether sniffing around, soaking up the sun, or relaxing on a soft blanket. She’s a fan of stroller rides and adores being close to her people for cuddles. She can walk on her own but takes things slow and can be a bit wobbly at times. Mealtime is one of her favorite moments—though she prefers soft food due to her teeth.
Her ideal adopter will have experience with senior dogs and the time to provide her with care and companionship. She does well with calm, laid-back dogs and enjoys a peaceful environment where she can lounge and savor her golden years.
Eleanor’s journey hasn’t been easy, but she has so much love to give. If you’re looking for a special companion and can offer her the kindness she’s missed out on, please inquire today!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
