My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Roya is an amazing adventurous 8 month old kitty with a great story. She was living on a construction site with her brothers where a nice lady cared for them. We were asked to help with her eye (empty socket) and spay her. When we took her in we noticed her existing eye was shattered inside. She was so so sweet and friendly, rubbing up all over us, I knew she couldn’t go back out. She went to UCD to be seen for her eyes and it was determined that they both needed to be removed. Since then she has learned her way around the room. She knows where everything is, she climbs and she knows when you come in a room. She would be happy in your lap all day if you let her. She’s fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is blind but that doesn’t stop her. She’s also great with all the other animals with proper intro

More about this rescue

Founded in 2020, Friends of Felines Rescue initially began in Rio Linda and now proudly serves both Rio Linda and its surrounding areas. Our mission is simple: to tackle cat overpopulation while supporting local communities. We're all about nurturing and protecting our furry friends by providing loving foster homes for orphaned, sick, and injured cats until they're healthy and ready for their forever homes. We're big advocates for spaying and neutering, not just for our beloved pets but also for our community cat colonies. As a volunteer-driven nonprofit, we're dedicated to the art of Trap-Neuter-Return, lending a helping paw by providing free training on trapping, traps for those in need, and information on low-cost surgeries. We rescue kittens and friendly strays, prepping them for loving families. Our aim? Spreading love and care for our cat friends!
