My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marilyn is a 3 year old dancer cat from Rio Linda (she can walk on two legs!). Her babies were all adopted and now it's her turn to retire in style! Currently she is indoor/outdoor. She spends most of her time indoors but she does like romping around in the garden. In fact, she follows me around the property, inside and outside of the house, through the cat door, always looking for some pets and a game of chase the string. She is a lovely young cat, mellow and thoroughly enjoyable! She is very polite and gets along well with other cats. She loves playing with all the toys and smashing around under packing paper. Nighttime will find her asleep between our legs. While Marilyn isn't exactly a snuggle bug, and she definitely likes to keep her feet on the ground, she LOVES getting pets ALL the time.

More about this rescue

Founded in 2020, Friends of Felines Rescue initially began in Rio Linda and now proudly serves both Rio Linda and its surrounding areas. Our mission is simple: to tackle cat overpopulation while supporting local communities. We're all about nurturing and protecting our furry friends by providing loving foster homes for orphaned, sick, and injured cats until they're healthy and ready for their forever homes. We're big advocates for spaying and neutering, not just for our beloved pets but also for our community cat colonies. As a volunteer-driven nonprofit, we're dedicated to the art of Trap-Neuter-Return, lending a helping paw by providing free training on trapping, traps for those in need, and information on low-cost surgeries. We rescue kittens and friendly strays, prepping them for loving families. Our aim? Spreading love and care for our cat friends!
