lila is a very sweet cat she needs a home ASAP! We are fostering for the castaic shelter and we only get a short time to foster. There are also other cats that need our help. Lila was part of a hoarding situation. she was turned with 8 other cats. she was very sweet until she was spayed and then she became hissy and fearful> now, she is not hissy, but still shy. she is gret with other cats and would do best in a home with another friendly cat.

We have the potential adopter come meet the dog and bring their dog for a meet and greet. For cats, they just meet the cat by itself.

we keep our fees low to encourage adoptions of senior dogs. Our kitten fees are based on cost to S/N, vaccinate and chip them.

Go meet their pets

Some of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes throughout LA County. They can be brought to the sanctuary for you to meet. We also have dogs at the sanctuary available for adoption. Our cats and kittens are also in foster or at the sanctuary and can be brought to the sanctuary to meet. Currently we are by appointment only, but we are willing to work with your schedule. We do open houses one saturday a month.

Golden Years Dog Sanctuary, a 501c3 non-profit dog and cat rescue, is located at Goldspirit Farm, nestled at the base of Angeles National Forest in Kagel Canyon, Los Angeles County. The dogs have their own half acre run with dog houses and a dogominium complete with custom built beds, carpeting, heating and air conditioning. They also get to roam on eleven acres of doggy heaven known as Goldspirit Farm.
