My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Quarterback was brought in by a community member on November 26, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Quarterback is a spirited boy who's ready to join your home team! This energetic pup plays with all the enthusiasm of a pro athlete, sometimes forgetting to call a timeout when his excitement takes over. He's working on perfecting his "game-day" manners and would thrive in a home with older kids (8+), where he can focus on scoring big in love. With patience, positive coaching, and lots of belly rubs, Quarterback is sure to be the MVP of your family! Come meet Quarterback today and don't forget to bring a leash and collar!

At SDHS:
Quarterback has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. Quarterback is now ready for his new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
