Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Coco: A Resilient, Sweetheart Chihuahua Looking for a Special Home!
Coco is an 8-month-old, 8-pound bundle of love and determination. This little guy is incredibly lucky to be alive after being hit by a car and taken to Dallas Animal Services. We rescued him just in time and immediately took him to the vet for care.
Coco has three pelvic fractures that are currently healing on their own. Once he’s fully recovered, he’ll need an FHO (femoral head osteotomy) to remove the femoral head, which will help prevent pain and arthritis as he gets older. Despite everything he’s been through, Coco is a sweet and happy boy who’s making amazing progress.
Although Coco’s original owners were located after his rescue, they’ve failed to come forward, so now we’re searching for the perfect foster or forever home for him. He needs a quiet, calm environment where he can continue his recovery safely.
Currently, Coco is living in a play yard and doing great with his pee pad. He’s even starting to whine to go outside for potty breaks—a wonderful sign of progress! He’s no longer on pain medication, is walking well, and even tries to run (though we’re working hard to slow him down to aid healing). One thing’s for sure: Coco loves his food and is always eager for a good meal!
If you can provide Coco with the peaceful home and love he needs to thrive, please complete our online adoption application at www.chloespetrescue.org/application. His adoption fee is $275.
Coco is ready to steal hearts—could yours be next?
FYI, we are estimating that his surgery and pre-surgery appointment will be roughly $1600. During my birthday fundraiser, we raised $500 which we going toward his medical bills

Additional adoption info
We are a RESCUE ORGANIZATION; please complete your online Adoption Application, which can be found on our website. We require an adoption application, vet reference, and a home visit with the pet. ALL of our pets are spayed, neutered or scheduled prior to being adopted. They are UTD on shots, heartworm negative, treated or scheduled to be treated, and micro chipped. They must be kept on heartworm preventative for the rest of their lives. Our adoption fees vary. Puppies have an increased adoption fee since they need three or four sets of shots, multiple de-wormings, and other puppy needs to keep them healthy.

CPR is an animal rescue organization run solely by volunteers. Our primary goal is to save dogs from euthanization at shelters as a result of factors such as a lack of funding and space. These wonderful animals are put at risk because they have no one to claim and adopt them. We aim to give them the second chance that they so deserve. Our animals come to us from shelters around DFW and stay in foster homes where they are given the medical attention (vaccinations, surgeries, heart worm testing, etc) and care that they deserve.
