Hi there, I’m Bob. A cute little scruffy black Terrier mix almost 1 year old, about 12 lbs, friendly with everyone but shy at first. I have gobs of fun playing with my doggy playmates as we chase each other through the house and around the yard, playing with dog toys, and enjoying doggy treats. For full disclosure, I should tell you that according to my foster mom, I’m a “nosey rascal” who can easily climb/jump up on a low table to see if something interesting is within reach. I am affectionate and loving but more the lay-by-your-feet type of boy and will let you carry and snuggle me for a while until I get squirmy. I am housebroken and I know how to use a doggy door. I only bark to alert you to important things, like someone at the door or a stranger in our yard. I live with a kitty cat but he doesn't interest me. I can walk on a leash but too much outdoor chaos makes me nervous. I was living in a homeless camp in San Antonio Texas with a few doggy friends and when my owner decided to sell us to our foster mom, it was scary at first but the start of a much better life! Now neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, I am ready for the last leg of my journey and hear many wonderful families on the East Coast would be happy to have a sweet little dog like me, so inquire about me today!
* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
