It's SO hard to give up my cat! I got married and my husband moved in with a wonderful cat that I love (and the feeling is mutual) but my Toby is not adjusting at all. We've tried all the things to no avail. He just hides under the bed. He's used to being the ONLY pet in the household and is not living a happy life now. It makes me sad, but I know he would be happier being the only pet that gets all the attention.
He's an affectionate lap-cat that is cuddly and sweet once he's adjusted. He's adapted to 3 different homes (with me as I've moved) so I know he can do that.
He's not picky about food - doesn't even eat human food or treats, just healthy dry food and lots of fresh water.
We got him from the Long Beach animal shelter when he was about a year old. He's about 14 now. Super healthy and active (when he's in the mood!)
It will be hard to let him go but I know he'll be happier in a 1-pet household and will make a new owner very happy.
xoxo
