My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Simba is a four-year-old lovable and happy-go-lucky pup with dreamy, starry eyes and a scrumptious pouty face. He’s the ultimate cuddle bug who loves meeting new people and will happily snuggle up with anyone whether you’re sitting on the couch or standing nearby. While he hasn’t been around children yet, Simba is equally affectionate with men and women. He’s curious about other dogs and always eager to say hello on walks showing no signs of fear or aggression even when neighbors’ dogs bark along the fence.

Speaking of walks, Simba is a dream to walk. He patiently holds still while you put his harness on and enjoys exploring the world although he may get a little excited when he sees people because he wants to greet everyone. He’s highly treat-motivated, making training easy and fun, and he hasn’t met a treat he doesn’t like. His crate is his safe haven—he’ll go in on command, sleep through the night, and finds comfort there when needed.

Simba is unfazed by loud noises or a busy household, including vacuums and other typical distractions although he’s not the biggest fan of the garden hose. He’s fully house-trained with no accidents in the house, and has a funny, unique quirk—he just doesn’t sit on his butt!

Simba is an adaptable and versatile pup who would thrive in an active home where he can enjoy daily walks and plenty of ways to exert his energy. Like most foster dogs, he prefers to keep his people in sight, but he’ll gain more confidence and independence with consistent training and love. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion, Simba is ready to bring joy and love to your life!
