My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benny is approximately one year old and already knows basic commands like sit, lay down, and stay. PLUS he's already crate trained! :)

His fosters say he is a TOTAL snuggle bug and loves attention. He does very well with his foster brother Winston and loves to wrestle and go on walks. Benny is a BIG fan of all things chew toys and loves chewing on bones. He is high energy and can sometimes get mouthy when he's playing.

Benny was found as a stray a few weeks ago and his finders decided to foster him. His family never came to claim him so we're hoping his next home is FOREVER.

Could you be the right family for Benny?

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

If interested in any of our dogs, please submit an application of the dog you are interested in.

2.

Interview

We will reach out via a text to set up a mutually agreeable time to chat about what you are looking for and your lifestyle.

3.

Meet the Pet

We are hopeful you will connect instantly with one of our Sketchy Mutts, you might even have an opportunity to meet us out and about.

Additional adoption info

If we all agree that a current Sketchy Mutt might be a good fit, we will bring him to your home and introduce him to your dogs, cats, and human family members. If all goes well and everyone (including your animals) is in agreement, you will start a one-week (minimum) trial adoption. We want you to live day in, day out with the dog to see what it would really be like to bring him into your family. If at any point during the trial adoption you decide its not a good match, the dog goes back to his foster home.

More about this rescue

Sketchy Mutts and Underdogs is a 501c3 non-profit, all-volunteer organization, located in the Indianapolis metro area. We are dedicated to saving the lives of dogs who are at high risk of euthanasia in area shelters, due to behavioral issues, medical conditions, or overcrowding. We are primarily a foster-based organization, although we have the ability to temporarily house dogs in our facility until foster or forever homes can be found.
