Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Mia is a gorgeous 3-year-old, 15 lb Havanese-Poodle mix (our best guess) who is as sweet as she is playful. This beautiful girl is a true Velcro dog—she loves to be with her people and thrives on companionship. Mia has an energetic and fun-loving personality and is a total pro at fetch! She gets along well with other dogs, walks wonderfully on a leash, and appears to be housebroken. With her good energy level, Mia is looking for an active family that will keep her entertained and, of course, throw the ball for her.
While Mia is incredibly loyal and affectionate once she knows you, she does experience some stranger danger and takes a little time to warm up to new people. For this reason, Mia’s ideal home would be a quieter household with no young kids under 16 and no first-time dog owners. Once you’re part of her inner circle, you’re golden!
Mia sleeps in bed with her foster parents (or on her dog bed nearby) and doesn’t shed, making her a great fit for someone seeking a low-shedding companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and loyal companion who will stick by your side, Mia is your girl. Fill out an adoption application today to give Mia the loving home she deserves!

Since we are a small foster home based rescue we very rarely hold adoption events. We mostly have meet and greets to approved adopters. On the rare occasion we may bring a dog or so out to an event however we do not allow on event site adoptions.

More about this rescue
The mission of our small foster home based 501C3 organization is to rescue homeless dogs with no hope; especially those living in inhumane conditions. Whether it's dogs in cramped, dirty puppy mill cages, barbaric international dog meat farms, hoarding situations or those living in the streets and shelters - we give them a brand new lease on life. Wagging Tails Dog Rescue NY provides all the dogs we save with appropriate veterinary care, loving foster homes and adopt them out to caring and responsible forever homes.
