Rodeo aka Crash is a Special Needs, 3 1/2 Month old French Bulldog Boy.
Crash has a neurological disorder possibly something like Wobblers. He is a Very Smart, Very Sweet Boy, his brain just does not fully connect to his limbs and he will always be special needs to some degree, and his overall capabilities may not be seen for many months.
Although Crash is not incontinent, (he knows when he has to potty), and will attempt to move away from his bed etc. when he has to go, he may thrive better as a diapered dog simply because of his movements. He is currently not capable of taking himself potty reliably, and he is still young. He may need assistance to go outside in the future but could likely be potty trained with someone willing to frequently take him out and if needed, support him while he goes.
We do see good progress in his capability to walk straight without falling over. As he grows, he has the potential to make further progress here, but we cannot guess what his overall capabilities will be a year from now.
He will do well in a home where somebody is home a lot of the time and can spend regular time with him doing very easy-to-learn physical therapy. It is not hard, and 20-30 minutes a day split over a couple of sessions a day could potentially do wonders for him. He has physical therapy equipment, and BHNW has secured a "loaned until he outgrows it" cart for him, and these items will go with him.
He is a very social dude, he wants to be part of the pack, and he wants/craves for dogs to interact with him. We would like him to have another dog that would interact with him regularly, this would do wonders for his development as he will push himself to interact.

Additional adoption info
Adoption fees are based on the breed, health, age, and behavioral status of each dog. All dogs are microchipped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, flea/worm treated and have had a wellness exam before becoming adoptable. If you are interested in adopting a BHNW dog, please fill out the online application. If you are matched to the dog you are interested in or another dog in our program, you will be contacted by the foster family. Prior to adopting, there is a mandatory home evaluation to ensure your home and family are ready for that dog. We require a contract for all adoptions and there is a two-week trial to ensure a good match. If for any reason you can no longer care for the dog you adopted from us, that dog must be returned to our program.
