Word is, that Saki is the sweetest little pup around! If you’re someone who enjoys quiet evenings and cozy companionship, Saki could be your new best friend.
While shy, Saki is thriving in her environment. Her favourite discovery so far, is bully sticks. When foster mom offers her one, she will take it tentatively and trot off to the closest dog bed for a little "me-time". Her learning style is about 30% shy and 70% true-hearted enthusiasm, which isn't a bad way to be. Also tops on her list, when the human work-day is done and she senses her foster mom is in dog mode (vs job mode). Saki is the best little cheerleader, just thrilled to see her emerge from her home office.
She is great with the dogs in the home and is happy to play alongside them, rather than with them. In the back yard, she will do a few awesome laps and then leap back inside. When it's walk time she does a bit of a happy dance when she sees her leash and sweater.
In the home, Saki is fab! She is house-trained, crate-trained, and really polite. She’s eager to please and loves spending time with her foster family and the resident dogs.
This sweet girl would do best in a quiet neighbourhood, with another friendly dog to bring out her best. While Saki's a little shy in new situations, she’s eager to love, and enjoys being with people who are home often. If you work from home, Saki would be the perfect sidekick. Saki is good with older, dog-savvy children (12+) and has passed her cat test.
If you’re looking for a loving companion who just wants to be your best friend, please check out the adoption process and application at www.dibsrescue.com. Her adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/).
