Hi there, I'm Edna! My story begins in quite the dramatic fashion-I was rescued from a junkyard just moments before the vehicle I was hiding in was about to be crushed. Thankfully, the operator spotted me and saved my life.
Since then, I've been living with my wonderful foster family, which includes my foster mom, dad, and two doggy sisters. I've grown into an independent lady with a lot of personality and a few quirks that make me truly unique.
As a single kitten growing up, I didn't learn all the polite ways to play, so sometimes I mistake fingers for toys and can get a little rough. I also have a hard time warming up to children or new people-they're just not my style. I thrive best in a quiet home where I can rule the roost and bond with patient, understanding adult humans who embrace both my mischievous moments and my social anxiety.

HSSC places animals on a first come, first serve basis. After an animal that is available for adoption has been met with, the animal’s name can be put on an application. Animals that are applied for must be adopted the same day or within 24 hours of the animal being placed on the adoption application. Exceptions will be made if any animal needs a medical procedure, but then will need to be adopted within 24 hours of being cleared from that procedure. HSSC reserves the right to accommodate alternate timelines for special needs/behavioral issue animals.
It is the potential adopter's responsibility to communicate with their landlord to contact HSSC for approval or to provide documentation stating permission within 24 hours of application submission.
It is also the potential adopter's responsibility to produce a current rabies certificate for their current dog(s) to conduct a dog to dog meet and greet within 24 hours of application submission.
