Vickie, a terrier long of scruff and the color of sunshine, is one of those unassuming elders whose cheerful demeanor and quiet self-reliance hide a sharp wit and investigatory talent perfectly suited to solving crimes. She's blind, agile, likes a bit of exercise, turns up her nose at stairs and likes to mingle with dogs and people, especially when she is on a case. Can she see you? Nope. Can she love you? Absolutely. Might the two of you enjoy a life of inside jokes, shared snacks and audiobooks? Of course! Especially if you're up for Nordic police procedurals, Then again, if love and snugs are involved, Sherlock Holmes will do.

Meet the Pet

If you know who you're interested in, we'll arrange a meeting in person or virtually. If you're still browsing, come to an adoption event!

Take the Pet Home

If you'd like to adopt we have a short finalization process and then you get to take your new dog home!

Additional adoption info

All of our senior mutts are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and given flea/tick/dewormer medication. Regular adoptions are typically $250, and there is no adoption fee for senior adopters and Hospice adoptions, though we love donations to help pay it forward for the next mutt!
