My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We believe Harper is around 3 to 4 years old as of December, 2024. She was dumped at a business dumpster at 3 am and was still standing there when workers arrived at their workplace. We had her examined at the Vet and she is blind. However, she doesn't require any medications right now for her eyes and she gets around the rescue like a champ. This girl has the best temperament and loves to be right with us. Cuddles are her favorite and she gets along great with other dogs here at the rescue. She is crate and house trained and does great loose in the house after she learns her new routine. We make a noise for her and she can find her way right back into the rescue after being let outside to potty. She also loves toys and balls. Harper was also around a 3 year old child in her foster home before she came to us. So, she should do well with any type of family. We just love her! She is spayed, current on shots, flea and heartworm prevention. If you are interested in visiting or adopting, please submit our application at RichardsonRescue.org.

We are a private run facility supported by public donations. The first step to adopt is to submit an application on richardsonrescue.org. We review them everyday, except for Sunday (Great customer service is our goal). Once your application is approved, you may then call for an appointment.

VISITS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY WITH AN APPROVED APPLICATION.

More about this rescue

Nestled in twelve acres of country and woods is a place for animals that are hardest to help, BIGGER dogs, abused pets and puppy mill dogs. They need more time, more space and more love than many full rescues can provide. Their adoptions sometimes take months, but they get the room and attention that they need to get back on all four feet. The problem.... not many people are willing to give them a chance. We also offer low cost spay and neutering when funding allows.
