My name is Shiki!

We adopted Shiki through a shelter in philadelphia that had a litter as a puppy. At the time (and still to this day) we had another dog, Dino. Things were great for almost 4 years.

Shiki has always been incredibly food motivated so we have kept them apart around food. he also has a very strong prey drive.

Recently, we moved to a new home outside of Philadelphia here in Bushkill. The dogs love the new space, but there was an incident shortly after moving involving a bag of food left on the floor, which resulted in Shiki attacking Dino for coming near it.

Dino needed reconstructive surgery for his ear and their relationship has been irrevocably changed. They are “crate and rotating” as per behavioralists’ advice, but neither has fulfilling lives now as they are crated half the day. We need someone who can dedicate the time and energy to love Shiki. He is so intelligent and trainable, but we can’t abandon our older dog to commit to him.
