Whoopi is a sweet and gentle tripod! She is good with people, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes. Whoopi has been through a rough start in life and is shy with new people at first. However, it doesn’t take her long to warm up. Whoopi has a good temperament and lots of love to give. She is doing well in her foster home and ready for her forever home. Whoopi started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining. She rides well in the car and enjoys trips to the doggie park. Whoopi and her sister, Whoopa, are looking for a loving home together.

Whoopi’s Rescue Story

Whoopi and Whoopa were abandoned on the streets. Some people were nice to them and brought them food. And some would kick them and chase them around. They were rescued by a volunteer of a TNR (Trap / Neuter / Return) rescue group. The rescue has a temporary shelter for the dogs. TNR groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and neutered and the animals are returned to their original location to live as homeless dogs. TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals. The volunteer reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help with them and some other puppies that are still too young to be released back to the streets. The founder of the rescue organization has over 180 dogs waiting for homes. However, she could not bear to see them going back to the mountain and suffer on the streets. She agreed to take them home and give them a chance in life.

They had a thorough medical checkup. They had been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on their blood tests. Please give Whoopi and Whoopa a loving home to grow up.
