My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lily – Your New Best Friend!

Lily is an adorable and loving Heeler mix born in July 2023, ready to find her forever home. She is an owner surrender due to a heartbreaking situation where her family can no longer care for her. Her loving owner is dedicated to ensuring Lily finds a home filled with the love and care she deserves.

Lily will come up-to-date on her vaccinations and health checks. This precious girl has her whole life ahead of her and is eager to share it with a family who will cherish her.

Originally from Kentucky, Lily is ready to bring her playful spirit and affectionate nature to her new home. Whether it's playtime, long walks, or snuggles on the couch, Lily is sure to steal your heart.  Lily is good with kids and other dogs.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
