My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**ALL ADOPTIONS INCLUDE A HOME VISIT, YOU MUST LIVE IN BROWARD & PALM BEACH COUNTIES**

Meet Chamoy – The Perfect Blend of Love, Fun, and Cuddles!

Just like the delightful mix of flavors in her namesake Mexican chili sauce, Chamoy is a chihuahua mix with a beautifully balanced personality. This 4-year-old, 11-pound bundle of joy will greet you with a wagging tail and a heart full of affection.

Chamoy’s playful nature shines brightest during her signature “Let’s Play Dance,” where she invites her canine friends to join in the fun. While she thrives with well-balanced dogs, she prefers calmer companions and would rather skip the company of overly hyper or bouncy pups.

Chamoy is an ideal fit for an adult home where love and companionship are plentiful. She’s not just a homebody either—Chamoy is a fabulous travel buddy who enjoys car rides, dining out, and running errands by your side.

With her small frame, dense muscle tone, and loving spirit, Chamoy is as strong as she is sweet. She’s ready to bring a dash of joy and spice to her forever family. Don't let the white markings on her muzzle fool you, She is young and full of energy.

If you’re looking for a loyal and lively companion who will brighten your days, Chamoy is ready to be your perfect partner in fun and love! This dog's adoption fee is $500 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). If you are interested please fill out the adoption application For additional information regarding our adoption process, please check our FAQ's Page

*All dogs in the care of Get a Life Pet Rescue live in loving foster homes while waiting for their perfect match. They don't live in cages or crates (unless there is a medical reason to do so.) They are treated as family pets while in our care. * All dogs in our care are fed premium brand holistic food as well as supplements and vitamins specific to each dog's needs. We don't buy inexpensive bulk dry kibble, our rescues are fed premium wet food diets as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation program to ensure maximum health. .*All of our rescues receive complete quality vetting including full dental cleaning with pre-op bloodwork, spay/neuter, vaccines, and grooming. Dogs in need of specialized medicine will be seen by specialists, such as full cardiac workups, and ophthalmologist visits, all suspicious lumps, and bumps are biopsied, and every medical need is transparent to potential adopters. *Once you adopt from Get a Life Pet Rescue, you become part of our compassionate family and we are here for you if a problem with your precious dog arises.

More about this rescue

Based out of Broward County and serving the Tri-County area, Get-A-Life Pet Rescue volunteers retrieve pets who have been abandoned and provide them with a chance at the life they deserve. Our animals come from a variety of sources, including Animal Services, owner surrenders and as strays.

Get-A- Life Pet Rescue volunteers, including our Board Members, play an active role in finding the animals a safe and happy home. All our pets are given a full veterinary exam. They are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, micro chipped, put on heartworm/flea & tick prevention medication as well as dental & grooming services as needed. Donations are very critical as they assist us in giving each pet full medical treatment, physical and behavioral rehabilitation and the necessities that allow them to thrive in their "forever home". Because Get-A-Life Pet Rescue doesn’t have a facility to house the pets as they are rescued, each pet is matched with an appropriate foster home in the Tri-County area. With individual fostering, we are able to provide interested applicants with details on the pet's personality and provide a needs list to allow the pet a tranquil transition.

Our volunteers promote responsible adoptions and lifelong relationships with the adopter’s new pet. We educate all adopters and provide them with all tools necessary to have a balanced and happy lifelong pet. Our ultimate goal at Get-A-Life Pet Rescue is to increase humane awareness through education, resulting in the humane treatment of animals, and reduction of the over population and abuse problems of today.
