Meet River, a sweet and spunky bull terrier who’s ready to begin her next chapter—with a forever family to call her own! Recently, River is recovering beautifully from her spay and has been thriving in her foster home. River is around 4 years old and weighs 37lbs.
Here’s what makes River so special:
• Dog-friendly: Though a little shy at first, River slowly warms up and enjoys being part of the pack.
• Balanced energy: She loves fetch, backyard adventures, and the occasional zoomies but is also happy with shorter walks and quiet downtime.
• Well-mannered: She’s kennel trained, knows “sit,” has patience to wait for a meal in front of her until given the command, and responds well to positive reinforcement.
• Curious and playful: River’s quirky personality will keep you entertained—she’s picky with toys but loves experimenting with treats (carrots, anyone?).
• Adaptable and affectionate: River enjoys new experiences and bonds well with her people.
While River is great with people, her playful style makes her better suited to a home without small children. She hasn’t had much exposure to cats and may do best in a cat-free environment unless introductions are slow and carefully managed.
River is currently in Spring, TX, and is available for adoption through the Rescue Welfare Trust Fund of The Bull Terrier Club of America. If you’re ready to welcome this funny, curious, and lovable girl into your life, please fill out an application so we can better get to know you.
