My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello world!!! My name is Stevie, I'm an 8 week old female mixed Black Mouth Cur! My mama was surrendered to the kind people at the Wolfe County animal shelter in Kentucky. Once we were old enough to leave, the folks from Cross your paws brought all of us up to Western PA! I'm currently being fostered in Pittsburgh with my sister, Moria.

Since we’ve arrived, we’ve been eating, sleeping, playing and well, we do that all day! We have been having a great time experience new environments, our fosters own dogs and the cats! The cat here is a 5 month old kitten and he loves to play with us, which we enjoy! We also sleep in our crate and working on our potty training. We potty outside, however we’re only 8 weeks old so we go often! Our foster parents are confident we will be house broken sooner than later.

We’re told that our mama is about 50 pounds and unsure about the size of our father. We think we should be around the size of our mom, but we could weigh slightly less or more.

If your application is chosen and approved we will setup a meet and greet with the pet. You will hear back regardless if chosen or not.

We place the dogs in the best home not the first home. Please be patient while we go over all apps and we will be in touch.

We are foster based. You must apply on Crossyourpaws.com first. If your application is chosen as the best fit for the dog we will move forward with the approval process. Once approved you will be setup with a time to meet the dog. Our dogs are all over the greater Pittsburgh area.

Our decision to start a rescue is not one that we have taken lightly, it has come after years of volunteer work with other groups. Our goal is to make this world a place where starving, abused animals is a thing of the past. That shelters filled with dogs and cats waiting to be euthanized is unheard of. We want euthanasia to be something to help pets on their way to the Rainbow bridge not to end lives because of overpopulation. We vow to save every life that we can.
