Cubby is a whirlwind of energy and curiosity, always in the middle of the action. Whether it’s with his siblings or his human friends, this adventurous kitten is ready to be part of the fun. Outgoing and confident, Cubby isn’t afraid to make new friends. When introduced to a resident cat and dog, he boldly rolled right up to sniff their noses, completely unfazed. He also seems to enjoy the company of children, making him a versatile companion for all types of households.
Cubby is a natural-born explorer and athlete. From balancing on the ledge of the bathtub to scaling the top of the scratching tower, he’s always seeking his next adventure. He loves pouncing on his siblings, his mama, or even an unsuspecting passerby. His favorite toys include fishing rods with feathers, crinkle toys, and anything string-like he can chase. A lover of climbing and scratching, Cubby will thrive in a home with plenty of activity and play opportunities.
This determined little guy is also the first to the food and treat bowl, and while his siblings might settle in for a nap, Cubby keeps bouncing around the room with his boundless energy. Despite his wild streak, he’s incredibly clean, grooms himself well, and handles himself like the confident, self-assured kitten he is.

While we do allow out-of-state adoptions, the adopter must be able to travel to Charlottesville, Virginia, and meet in person at an agreed-upon time to take their cat home.
GDU does ask for a minimum adoption donation of $125.00 for cats. This minimum donation does not cover all expenses as we are funded solely by the angels and volunteers willing to donate time and finances. This minimum donation includes age-appropriate vaccines and flea and tick treatment, as well as neutering or spaying if the animal is medically sound and is unable to undergo surgery. This minimum donation does not even begin to cover each animal's expenses while in rescue, but does go directly towards vet care for our rescue animals.
