Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This gorgeous Siberian Husky duo is dreaming of a forever home, together! They came into the pound as strays and it became clear that they were likely mother and daughter! Their bond is beautiful to see and given they’ve clearly spent their lives together, it seems as though it would be tragic to break up these sweet girls. The pound has stayed full and all the volunteers and officers have prayed these girls make it out to a better life. They stayed past their final date as everyone scrambled to find safety for them, and fortunately a volunteer couple was able to take them short term in the hopes that the home of their dreams comes along and saves them!
They’ve since had all of their medical work completed! Aryana is the mama husky who is black and white with gorgeous blue eyes! She is 2 years old and weighs about 65 lbs. Kiona is the gorgeous snow white daughter with one blue eye and one brown eye. She is closer to 45 lbs and is 18 months old. These girls have now had their vaccines completed, microchipping, deworming, they are current on flea, tick, and heartworm preventative, they have been heartworm tested and spayed! They are doing amazing and ready to find a home to call their own!
These girls are not only an absolutely gorgeous duo, but they are brilliant and lovely. Their relationship is a beautiful thing to watch and keeping them together will not only increase their quality of life and preserve their bond, but it also makes ownership much easier when you have a pair! In the morning these two are let out in the yard and play/exercise while their foster parents are getting ready for the day! Then when it’s time to go to work they’re all tuckered out. They keep each other company during the work day and are fabulous channeling each others medium activity level. They most definitely will always be up for any adventure, but on days when you’re not up for an adventure or have a long work day, or just want to relax, they’re fabulous at keeping each other occupied. They have a healthy relationship with food, they’ve been fantastic in the house, and sleep through the night beautifully in their foster parents bedroom. While their bond with each other is surely strong and wonderful, they also are incredibly smart and devoted to their humans. They know they need saving, and are forever grateful and loyal to those who have helped them along their journey to find safety and love. These fabulous young, beautiful, wonderful girls are destined for a life story full of love and joy, they just need parents who will welcome them into their hearts and build that wonderful future theyve been dreaming of. If you’d love to be their angel and make their dreams come true, please visit www.greatdivideanimalrescue.org and submit an application for adoption today!!!

We are all volunteers- so until our dreams come true and we find some amazing donors to give us a facility of our own, we don't have locations that you can visit. We hope to arrange events soon, and when we do, we hope you'll visit us there!

More about this rescue
Great Divide Animal Rescue (GDAR) is a 501(c)3 non profit organization based out of North Carolina. We are run entirely by volunteers who work tirelessly for the rescue, rehabilitation, and successful placement of the most needy of animals.
Our focus is to help animals of all species in need. We do so by providing services in both rescue/foster/placement of homeless pets, but we also partner with several animal control facilities.
Are you looking to help a great organization who saves animals? (primarily dogs but we have rescued even horses, pigs, donkeys, mules and kitties!) We would love to hear from you!
Are you looking to find an amazing companion to make your heart and home complete? we would LOVE to work with you to help you find that perfect match!
