My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This precious soul is called Candy Girl she is a darling little white and dark grey 4 year old Shih Tzu female that weighs a tiny 10 pounds. She is a little thing that was cast aside when her former mom became “involved” in a more important relationship that left no time for Candy Girl. She was given away to a Critter Cavalry Rescue lady who has gotten her fully vetted (she was NOT spayed) and all her shots done and heartworm tested,microchip and fecal test done. She has gotten the full spa treatment to make her look pretty for a new person or family to adopt her. She is nothing but pure sweet love and snuggles and is wonderful with dogs and cats alike. She is an innocent little girl that thought her momma loved her to the moon and back. Apparently she did not. Some human stepped out of the shadows and cast a dark cloud over Candy Girl’s life. We have promised her no more clouds but only sunshine and love to come just in time for the Holiday Season. She is housebroken, crate trained and walks like a Princess on the leash. She would sleep in bed with you if you allow it or she could find a soft little bed to snuggle down in every night. Candy Girl didn’t deserve to become second fiddle but we are going to fix that. Most all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Our fees start at $500 and can be higher depending on the dog and circumstances for their vetting. All fees cover the health certificate, transportation up to designated places for families to pick up their pre-adopted dog, spay/neuter, rabies, all shots, fecal and dewormings, microchip, complete vet check up and 4 way heartworm test if dogs are older than 8 months.

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website.
