My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I am Seven, a beautiful black beauty with the cutest face! I’m extremely sweet, playful, and cuddly, and I have some of the loudest purrs. I sure do LOVE to purr!

I am 1 of 4 siblings that were rescued and started out at Animal Control but we were so little and still needed lots of care, so we were taken in by BTKR's amazing bottle feeders who took amazing care of us! When we were old enough we were moved to our new foster home, where I still struggled a little bit - I was the smallest and had a hard time catching up, but with the love and attention of my foster mom and the guidance of my bottle feeder mom, I quickly started getting healthier! Even though I am still the smallest, I am mighty!

I love the laser pointer, wands, fuzzy balls and especially the ball tower! I am also super playful with my siblings and other fosters. My favorite things are laying in the warm sunshine, wrestling playing with my brother, and chasing the laser pointer or wands.

I love to sleep anywhere my fosters parents are. I particularly love to sleep on my foster mom all stretched out in her arms! I also love to snuggle in bed at night with my foster parents, but beware of your toes under the blankets! I’ll get in hunt mode, wiggle my cute little tail, and then attack! The humans say it’s the cutest and funniest thing!

I love Fancy Feast Gravy and Purina One kitten dry food. I also love those Temptations treats, especially in the morning! I get along with other cats of all ages as my foster home has other fosters and resident cats, plus 13, 16, and 17 year old kids. I would not do well around small children or dogs.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We have an adoption application to learn a bit about the home our cats will be going to and the family's motivation for adoption and expectations about pet ownership. We also have an adoption contract, which includes a no declawing and indoor-only clause along with a vet promissory note that ensures you will continue with the medical care and spay/neuter if needed.

We DO NOT do any out of state adoptions except on the NC border on a case-by-case basis.

We require a donation of $120 for adoption of unaltered kittens with a PTV Contract. All kittens receive vaccine series and wormings as well as medical treatment as needed. The adopter is responsible for obtaining their rabies vaccine and spay/neuter if the kitten is not of age at the time of adoption. We can provide resources for low cost clinics that offer these services.

We ask a donation of $25 to adopt Career/barn cats.

We require a donation of at least $140 for adoption of Spayed/neutered cat.

Bonded pairs adoption donation is $200.

Sometimes we require rental checks or home inspections. We always have a Meet n Greet to make sure everyone gets along. We encourage bringing the whole family!

Go meet their pets

Our pets are available for Meet and Greets at their various fosters homes or at our kittery at Pups n Stuff in Virginia Beach for fosters who do not show animals in their home. Appointments must be scheduled in advance!

At Pups n Stuff (where we're the Stuff), you can make an appointment to come see some of our adoptable kittens. It is at 4330 Holland Rd. in Virginia Beach.

Many of our adoptable adults are located at the Catnip Cat Cafe. The Cafe is in the Ghent section of Norfolk at 1611-B Colley Ave.

We also have adoptable adults at Pembroke PetSmart, 4421 Virginia Beach Blvd in Virginia Beach.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to improve the lives of displaced cats and reduce feral cat population in Hampton Roads by socializing outdoor-born and feral kittens for adoption into loving forever homes. We are a VDACS registered 501c3 nonprofit, founded in 2014 with over 60 foster homes.

Our heart is in TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return of ferals), where cats are fixed, vaccinated, ear tipped, and allowed to live out their lives without reproducing. We are advocates for advancing legal and social acceptance of TNR in Hampton Roads. Our unique feral kitten socialization program has a 90% success rate in socializing feral-born kittens to become loving, in-home pets.

We are always seeking fosters, volunteers, transporters, and trappers to join our team!
